Classic route idea
A first Italy route might combine Rome, Florence and Tuscany, Venice, and the Amalfi Coast or Lake Como. A scenic rail version might link Switzerland with northern Italy. A slower food-and-wine version might focus on Tuscany, Piedmont, Provence, Basque Country, or Portugal.
Europe can be polished and independent at the same time: private airport transfers, boutique hotels, rail tickets, a few excellent guides, hard-to-time museum entries, cooking classes, wine days, and free evenings that feel like yours.
